Ensuring a Quality CSU Education with Expertise, Support & Compassion
For students attending the California State Universities, Academic Professionals of California (APC) union members share their expertise along every step of students' academic path. We help ensure the quality of an accessible CSU education
Our work with CSU students often begins even before they arrive on campus, and we assist all along the way until students receive their diplomas. From the moment a student even considers coming to CSU, their first connection is usually with a Collective Bargaining Unit 4 academic professional. Our APC members work in the community promoting higher education and keeping the university accessible. We work with students from elementary school to community college. Such outreach and recruitment is the lifeblood of an open public university. We contribute to maintaining the CSU commitment of serving community needs, and keeping the doors of higher education open.
Our work touches all students who come to CSU, with a range of APC academic professionals helping support student success at all levels. Earning a degree from CSU can be a complex and challenging journey, yet APC members are there to help. We guide the way by providing academic student support services and by staffing specialized programs such as EOP, National Center on Deafness, and Athletics.
Collective Bargaining Unit 4 workers are also there when students need assistance selecting classes, determining majors, finding career paths, and developing academic success strategies. Across the state and on each CSU campus, students are helped and supported by professional advisors, and other expert APC members; we who provide vital services such as orientation, housing, financial aid, tutorial, and more! Students achieve their life-long dreams through a quality CSU education. The journey can be a challenging, but students can depend on APC members' knowledge and expertise to help them succeed. If a student needs guidance navigating the campus bureaucracy, an APC member will help them find the answers, compassionately guiding them to achieve their goals. From arriving on campus until graduating with a degree, a student's life at CSU is filled with specialized support from the expert academic professionals of Bargaining Unit 4.
